Run Aground

The commercial fishing vessel, Ocean Pursuit, ran aground while attempting to enter Oregon Inlet along North Carolina’s Outer Banks on the evening of March 1, 2020. The crew were all safely rescued, but the ship was lost and recovery never attempted. With each passing storm and high tide, the shifting sands of the Outer Banks slowly swallow this once proud ship.
