Surf City Pier is hub of life on Topsail Island, NC. It provides great ocean views and excellent recreational fishing access. When the surf is up you will find surfers catching waves near by. To create the soft misty look of the water, I setup my camera on a tripod with a 10-stop ND filter to allow me to use a long shutter speed of 20 seconds to blur the water as the waves came and went during the exposure.
